Manchester Artist Book Fair

Wow, been a long time since posting!
Recent news includes taking part in Manchester Artist Book Fair a week or so ago. It was a great event and heralds a change in scale and application for my fabric endeavours.

This weekend will see the launch of the Hot Bed Press 20:20 Print Exchange.

My print is a discharge print on two layers inspired by a night time trip to Kew Gardens where landscapes were floodlit in lurid green and blue.

14 – 29^th June 2014

A Cut for Silk Town

New work inspired by the transport links Macclesfield developed during the Industrial revolution, specifically the arrival of the canal.

Inspired by the history of this waterway cutting through the landscape to link Macclesfield with the wider world & other trade routes. Printed onto sheer, translucent & opaque fabrics to create figurative & abstract landscapes. 

Work will be on show in the windows of Plums Kitchen for the duration of the festival.

Waterside Open

I am pleased to have work selected to hang in the Waterside Open in Sale, Greater Manchester. The exhibition is on until 24th May 2014.
